Breastfeeding is a full time job! I am now on my second child (seen on the right) and will tell you, it gets MUCH easier with each child you have after your first. I struggled with Matilda. She lost a lot of weight right after delivery and I had to supplement for awhile. I was never able to get a stash with her in the freezer before daycare came and pumping sessions were exhausting. With Junior I had the opposite, my body knew what it needed to do. I didn't have any supply issues, I actually have an oversupply with him, and I'm building up a stash in the freezer so I can stretch out how long he is on breastmilk. (My personal goal is 6 months). This page is going to discuss the basics of breastfeeding, what equipment to consider (including pump choices), and other items you will need to be successful in feeding. This is just a basic guide. We will have a breastfeeding tips page coming shortly, so be on the look out for that!!!
